The action starts early in Women's Division One this week, with games on Wednesday and Thursday.
Sevenoaks Suns are the visitors to Brixton Recreation Centre on Wednesday where they will meet the home-town Topcats. While seventh placed Suns appear certainties for the playoffs with an 8-8 record, Topcats are eighth in the table with four wins from 16 games.
When the teams met on the opening weekend of the season, Suns marred Topcats' return to the top flight with a 62-50 victory.
It was the third period that proved to be key as Suns outscored the visitors 22-10 to take a 14-point lead into the final break, and although they were outscored 16-14, they comfortably held to take the win. Andrea Wanstall led all scorers with 18 for Suns, with Renee Busch and Arek Deng each adding 12. Ofamata and Gemma Salmon each scored ten for Brixton, with Davis adding nine.
Basement side Birmingham A's will be aiming for their first league win of the campaign when they host London Mets on Thursday.
While A's have suffered 15 straight losses in their debut season in the top flight, Mets have a 3-13 record, and desperately need a result in the midlands if they are to stand a chance of post-season play. With fellow Londoners Brixton having the head-to-head decider over them, Mets will need at least two more wins from their remaining four games.
The sides met in mid-February and Mets collected their third victory of the season with a 77-68 win. Led by 22 Taal points, Mets fought back from a 21-15 first period deficit to lead 33-31 at half-time. The teams shared 42 third period points, but Mets pulled away with a 23-16 fourth quarter to wrap up the win.
Marinova finished with 17 for Mets and Panayotova chipped in with 16. A's were led by Hall (19), Salmon (14) and Burchill (12).
