The Amaechi Basketball Centre in Manchester will again host the Sureshot National Cup Finals for Under 16 and Under 18 Men and the National Shield Final on Sunday 21 February.

 

At 11:30am, the Manchester Magic Under 16 Boys will look to repeat as Sureshot Cup Champions in front of their home crowd when they face the Milton Keynes Lions. Both finalists advanced with double digit wins in their semi final match-ups, with the Magic beating the Solent Kestrels (74-32) and the Lions defeating Sheffield Junior Sharks (77-56).

 

2009 Sureshot Cup Under 18 runners-up Sheffield Junior Sharks play Bristol Academy Flyers at 1:45pm in the second game of the day. The Junior Sharks have consistently been one of the strongest youth male clubs in the country over the past few seasons and they face a newcomer to this championship in Bristol. However, with the Flyers' senior men recently winning the 2010 National Cup, Bristol Academy is quickly proving itself as a future contender.

 

Finally, the knockout competition for Division 3 and 4 Men, the National Shield, tips off at 4:00pm and sees a north-south match-up with the Bradford Dragons playing London United-Richmond College. Both of these Division Three teams are playoff-bound this season leaving the National Shield title up for grabs.
